Use a silent countdown

Choose a preset or enter minutes and seconds, then apply the duration. Start begins the countdown. Pause keeps the remaining time; Reset returns to the start.

Full screen keeps the countdown and its controls together. Use Exit full screen or Escape to return. If your browser cannot enter full screen, the timer expands inside the page.

Offline use and device sleep

After this page loads, the timer works without an internet connection. Keep the tab open: reloading or reopening the page offline may not work. Save plan on this device keeps the settings in this browser, not the running countdown.

A delayed tab catches up when it runs again. Sound cannot wake a sleeping device. If the device's clocks disagree after sleep or a clock change, the timer pauses at its last known time and asks you to check before resuming. Keep the device awake for a live classroom display.

Sound and accessibility

This timer never plays sound. It uses digits and a written end message, with no moving shape or flashing. The countdown does not announce every second to screen readers.

Your plan stays in your browser

Activity names and timer settings are not uploaded. Saving is optional; Delete saved plan removes the saved copy. Anyone using this browser profile can load it, so use activity names rather than pupils' names. Site analytics are described in the privacy policy.
