Alright, so in this video we’re going to be going over the different things you do during meditation. Now meditation can be one of two things, either guided or unguided. These might sound self explanatory, but I’m going to go over them really quickly. They’re great examples of guided meditation online everywhere, anytime that you engage with something where someone is speaking to you, and you’re following along with those prompts, that is guided meditation, whereas unguided meditation is when someone isn’t speaking to you. And that can be either if you’re confident enough with what you’ve learned with doing the meditation for yourself so that you don’t need it, or if you just want to focus on the body or something like that without any distractions. So that’s the difference between guided and unguided meditation. And the next thing I’m going to talk about is the noise that you might want to have while you’re meditating a lot of people during sight meditations will want to do it in complete silence. So what that means is that you know, you don’t want any distractions because you just want to focus on getting to wherever you want to get to or feeling whatever things you want to help yourself feel. However, for a lot of people, especially during calling meditations, it can help to have sounds, playing in the background sounds of nature, things that will naturally calm us human beings down and make us feel better will help us achieve that more calm state that we want to get to. Now you can have either of these as guided meditations. And if the silence seems a bit weird to have as a guided meditation, what it means is that someone will guide you through something and then they’ll stop talking and you can continue with the next prompt that they’ve just given you in complete silence, so obviously, not without distractions, but as long as it’s peaceful. You shouldn’t feel distracted. Instead should feel Guided. Now, I’ve already covered this a tiny bit. But I want to reiterate that a lot of meditation is about closing down some of your senses so that you can focus instead on something more specific that you want to target. This can help you feel more at peace, which is why a lot of the times you’re closing your eyes because you want to feel more at peace with what’s inside instead of focusing on something that’s out here. Whereas if you just want to reflect on something, then it can be totally fine to just be sitting outside or somewhere without distractions. So long as you feel at peace, your eyes can still be open. The main feeling is that feeling of peace, and doing it in a way that works for you to get to whatever goal you set for yourself. That could be your garden, it could be a park, it could just be laying down on your bed so long as you are comfortable and without distraction. Okay. So that covers most of the main things that I wanted to leave you with during the short course. As you can see, it was very short because there’s only a little bit of key information to go over. In the next video, I’m going to be going over a little bit of advanced information that we’re not going to be covering in any depth, but just in case anyone’s interested. Okay, see you then.
