Now the first step in forming a well formed outcome is that you have to state what you want in the positive, you have to say specifically what it is that you want. And you want to avoid describing what you don’t want. Now, a lot of people when they think about something that they want, or they think of a goal that they want, they naturally think of the thing that they don’t want. First, they may say something like, Oh, I don’t want to be fat anymore, or I don’t want to be broke, or I don’t want to be homeless or anything like that. So you want to avoid using that kind of talking, you want to say specifically what you want in the passive and talk about what you do one? And a good question to ask yourself is, if we had a video recording of your goal, what will we see in here? Now by doing that, by using that kind of a question, you’re able to really define clearly, specifically what it is that you want. Now next after now, after you define clearly what you want. The second step is that you want to say what lies within your area control, meaning you want to state things that you can initiate and things that you can keep within your control. Ask yourself, what’s one thing that you can do to move yourself in the right direction. And just as an added note, hit, you don’t want to wait on circumstance for people to change. So if you have a goal that you want to achieve, but your goal is to dependent on what’s our another person x, or what’s our certain external circumstance change, then that’s not really a great goal to have. Because what happens is, you take the power out of your own hand, and you put the power outside of yourself, you put into a situation you put into another person, you want the power to remain always with yourself. Now afterwards, step three is to contextualize a goal. And pretty much what we mean by that is that you want to define a specific environment, the context, or the situation that’s needed to change a goal, you want to identify the place a time, the environment, for this new way of thinking and feeling of behaving of talking, and so on and so forth. And also, just as you are able to define what where it is you want to go specifically, you also want to be clear about where you don’t want this behavior to show up. So let’s say you want to have a behavior where you want to be more, let’s say, like excited or more outgoing. Well, maybe the best time to have that behavior probably want to be like when you’re getting ready to see per se, like that’s not the appropriate time to be extroverted, and the barely, really be outgoing yourself. So you want to be clear about if you want to define any behavior in particular, you want to know where you want that behavior to show up. And when you don’t want it to show up. The next is you want to stay at a sensory base word. So if you’ve been following the steps up until this point, then you should already have been doing this. But this is just kind of hope. So really let that point sink in. So you want to talk about what that person would be able to see what they be able to feel what to be able to hear. And like we said, initially, you want to have something where, excuse me, if someone was to videotape you their goal, they will be able to see exactly what it is that you’re describing. You want to think in terms of behavioral evidences. Next, after you define your goal, you want to break it down into bite sized sub. Now there’s a saying that goes that the journey of 1000 miles begins with like a single step. So it’s important that when you have a really big goal in mind of what you want to achieve, you want to break that goal down into small bite sized chunks. So that way, people will you have a better idea of wrapping your head around what you need to do, you don’t get overwhelmed and stuff. And next you want to load your description resources. Now resources can be just about anything, it could be tangible or intangible. It could be money. It could be, it could be like equipment, it could be, it could be just about anything tangible, intangible, it could be like a certain quality that you wish you had that you don’t have right now, maybe the quality, it could be more confidence or more charisma, or just hot more self esteem, any resource, anything that could help you if achieving your goal. And oftentimes, like these, these resources that you need, you may or may not have them. So in that case, you can list those resources that you don’t have as a sub goal as something that to work towards, that will help you achieve the greater goal that you’re looking to get. And finally, you want to check for ecology. And pretty much what we mean by checking for ecology is you want to see if there’s gold, first of all your other goals, your other values, your other state of being, you want to check inside yourself if there’s any aspect of yourself that object to this outcome. And you want to make sure this is gold susceptible to all parts of yourself. So what I mean like very briefly when I talk about like different processes yourself, like you know how some people say that, you know, there’s a certain part of me that wants to be really fit, but there’s also another part of me that really enjoy some eating really fattening and tasty foods itself. So these are what you will call like two parts like cc ly both of these parts can exist within the same person, but they may not necessarily work well together, which is something we’re going to talk about resolving at a at another at a later time. So last but not least, you want to specify evidence that you achieve your outcome because it’s one thing to have a goal that you set for yourself but if you never know when you actually achieve the outcome that you set for, then you can keep working at it over and over and you’ll never know where you’re Going so I’m a good so I would definitely refer to set for for using sensory based language so that way you make sure that when you go in you achieve your goal you actually know that you achieved it. And of course last but not least, you want to make sure that the evidence is super specific. So guys, that’s all I have for you today with the first technique NLP technique demo one well formed outcome. So our next technique we’re going to be going over next is number two called pace
