Understanding The Cause of Suffering

Hi, I’m Johnny Johnny. In this video, I want to talk about what the state of self rejection is, and what the state of self acceptance says. It’s important to understand these two terms, if we wish to transform the mind if we wish to create greater happiness in life. So let us begin by understanding what suffering is. So what is suffering? Suffering is the negative state of mind. Basically, as long as you’re experiencing them happiness, you are suffering. Suffering states of the mind include fears worries, that Else, any negative states of the mind which limits and creates unhappiness within any negative state that you can think of. So as long as you’re experiencing unhappiness with a big or small, you are experiencing suffering. Okay, so what is the cause of suffering? The cause of suffering comes from the state of self rejection. In other words, it’s from the state of self rejection, that comes our fears, our unhappiness, our negativities, anger, impatience and so forth. So, the cause of suffering is the state of self rejection. By knowing that the cause of suffering comes from the state of self rejection, within know how to transform the suffering states of the mind, and that has to develop self acceptance because that is the opposite of self rejection. So, in other words, to transform, suffering to transform self rejection, we do it by developing self acceptance. That is how we can release our sufferings at the deepest level of the mind. So that we do not have to experience it again. This is very important. So, the journey of self transformation is about transforming self rejection to self acceptance. But what is self rejection and what is self acceptance? Well, let’s begin by understanding that self acceptance is the opposite of self rejection. And what is self rejection? It means that we are rejecting the self it is a state of mind when we are rejecting the self. But what is the self? Well, when I use the word, the self, I mean everything the self includes when we reject others selves when we reject ourselves. The selves can also be an idea when we reject someone’s idea. When we reject an idea of say, a business idea, an idea of going and try a new experience, we can also reject objects. That self can also include objects. For instance, we can reject a cup, we can reject even a cat, we can reject the weather we can reject a time. So basically the self is everything inside and outside. That is the self. Now I’m sure you want some examples of what self rejection may look like. But it is hard for me to give you examples because the state of self rejection is a state of mind. But I guess I can give you some examples of when we could be in a state of self rejection. Examples include, after in a job interview we criticize ourselves for not doing well. It can also be when we face in a person and that person made us angry because they did not do what we told them to do. It can also be when it’s raining, and we don’t want it to rain, we want it to be sunny rather than a horrible weather. So, basically we are in a state of self rejection we when we cannot accept a situation, a person an idea for what it is when we tell ourselves that something is not okay. So, the state of self restriction as a state of mind, when we cannot accept something as being okay. Now, what does the State of self rejection feel like? Well, basically, as long as you’re experiencing unhappiness negativities if you’re experiencing limitations confusions, basically anything which affects your happiness in a negative way, you are in a state of self rejection. So you may experience negative physical sensations on the body, for instance pain. Well, you can experience negativity, sadness inside the mind. So basically the state of self rejection is experienced as unhappiness. As subtle or gross, big or small. It does not matter. As long as you’re experiencing some sort of unhappiness, you’re suffering, you’re experiencing the state of self rejection. So what causes us to experience the state of self rejection? While that happens, when we become attached to ideas that we believe something is not okay, something that is not acceptable. And when these ideas are triggered in life experiences, then we experience this Data self rejection and happiness. These ideas are called negative ideas and they can be simplified as mental declarations beginning with a test not okay. For instance, it is not okay to be rude. It is not okay to be embarrassed, it’s not okay to fail it is not okay to be arrogant and so forth. Now we are attached to a negative idea for instance, it is not okay to be selfish. We then will experience the fear of being selfish. We will then judge ourselves when we are selfish. We will then judge others when they are selfish. We will then experience physical, negative physical sensations on the body and negativity within when these ideas are triggered. Now I like to say that negative ideas as a seed cause of suffering Why do I say seed course? This is because we all know that the state of self rejection is what creates suffering. That is the root cause if we want to get technical, and because negative ideas are what causes the state of self rejection. So negative ideas are the seed cause of suffering. So what is self acceptance? Well, at the deepest level of the mind, you can think of it like this. It’s about transforming negative ideas, ideas, which began with it’s not okay to potentiated ideas, ideas, which began with it is okay. You can think of it like this. It’s about transforming and releasing the state of self rejection we have towards ourselves and other selves. Rejection towards the self, everything. It’s about the destination of developing self acceptance. It’s about reaching a state of Acceptance towards everything outside of ourselves and everything inside of ourselves. Total acceptance that has true happiness. Now I know that you may want some examples of what self acceptance looks like. Again, it will be difficult for me to describe because self acceptance is a state of mind rather than an action. But let me give you an analogy so that you can understand it a bit better. Imagine yourself in a storm, clouds above lightning heavy weren’t your code. Now if you’re in the state of self acceptance, you do not fear the storm. You’re in full acceptance of the storm. You do not hate the storm. Your happiness is not affected. You do not experience any negative physical sensations or inside or on your body, you only experience the code, the code rain, the wind blowing against you. So basically that is the state of self acceptance. Now, on the journey of self transformation, don’t dwell too much on what action is self acceptance and what action is self rejection. Remember, the greater work of self transformation is done on the inside. So it’s not about so it’s not like if you smile when the storm comes. You’re in a state of self acceptance. No, it’s don’t like that. No matter what you do on the outside, as long as you experience negativity on the inside, you are experiencing the state of self rejection. So this is a challenging journey, a journey of transforming our mind to develop self acceptance. Now, in a situation such as a storm, Why say action is to just seek shelter because We can always transform our minds and now be a time it does not have to be in the time of the storm. On the journey of self transformation, I would encourage you to go into storms. Why should we do this? Well, by going into storms, it allows the negativities hidden within to surface, it allows us to explore the South deeper to develop self knowing, you see, to develop self acceptance, we have to first develop self knowing to understand how our mind works, what hell what are our deepest fears, what are our desires, what are the causes of these, these are these are all components of self knowing that needs to be developed for us to begin the work of self acceptance. So the way into storms is a great catalyst to develop self knowing. self acceptance. So if you’re interested in understanding more about catalysts, you can go to my website creation within creation calm. So yes, going into storms can help you to uncover hidden negativities within. But there is no need to stand in a storm. You can always seek shelter and work on yourself later. Much like an Olympic athlete. He does not need to just work on themselves during the competition to win the middle. Most of the time, he improves himself outside the competition, day by day. And the same way is the same way applies on the journey of self transformation. We work on ourselves day by day so that when a storm comes, we can face it and observe it develop self knowing and self acceptance and self care. information. I hope I have clarified a little bit better about what self acceptance and self rejection is.
