This future self visualization exercise will last about three minutes. Make sure you are comfortable lying down or sitting up and start taking some deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth. Make sure you are in complete silence except for this audio. Follow your deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth and become increasingly more relaxed. And if you’re sitting down, you can just put your head on the table and you close your eyes. Imagine a certain amount of time in the future that you choose. It could be six months, one year, three years, or even 10 or 20 years. In this amount of time, imagine what it looks like to have achieved your goals. These goals could be in your relationships. It could be financially, it could be personally it could be skills based It could be physical. Imagine all of the kinds of goals that you have and what it will look like to have achieved them in that amount of time. These things are a good indicator of what your ideal future life looks like. Now, try to imagine what you need to do to get up to that point. Continue doing this for as long as you would like, if you need to pause this to continue doing it now, go ahead. And I would suggest that you revisit this exercise regularly, for example, once every month just to check back in with how you feel about your goals and if anything has changed, and to remind yourself of the work that needs to get done, to get to where you want to be.
