Exercise 4 – Engage All 4 Dimensions at Work

Now let’s talk about integrating your four human dimensions. So when you look at your physical dimension, emotional, mental, and spiritual, when all of those are going in the same direction, they’re committed to the same thing. We can be very powerful. When they’re not, we sometimes find we’re very ineffective. So let’s say for example, there’s a project at work, and you know how to do it, and you have the physical ability to do it. But maybe you don’t believe in it. Or maybe you’d feel bad about doing it. Then you have this conflict. You’ve got your physical and intellectual dimensions that are ready to go, you know how to do it, you have the capacity to do it physically, but maybe spiritually or belief wise, you’re not sure if it’s a good idea, and emotionally you’d feel bad about doing that. So you don’t do it. Or vice versa. Maybe you feel great about it. You say this would be awesome. If I could do this. I believe in this Spiritually be awesome. But I don’t know how to do it intellectually or mentally, and I don’t have the physical capacity to do it. Contrast that with something as simple as when we brush our teeth. Most people, if you brush your teeth daily, all dimensions are aligned. Spiritually, I believe this is a good thing to do. I think it’s a good idea. It’s good for my hygiene my teeth. intellectually, I know how to do this. Mentally I know how to do this. Emotionally, I feel good about it. Or at the very least, I feel really bad if people smelt my breath, and it was not very pleasant. And then physically, I know how to do it and can do so I do it. So there’s this alignment of all four dimensions. When we have that we can be very powerful. So what I’m gonna suggest to you is what’s working for you in your business and your work usually has that integration working for you. And what isn’t flowing usually has one or more of those dimensions, not going in the same direction. To invite you to open your mind and your heart to the possibility that you can connect with the divine. decide that you’d like to connect to the divine. Really get clear about that. And invite the divine to guide you in this process. Close your eyes and silently breathe in and out, focusing on your breath. Count to three as you breathe in and count to three as you breathe out. Do this for 30 seconds And all the while, maintain your intention to connect with the divine. Ask the divine to guide you in this work. How can a strong spiritual commitment, support and improve your work? How can a strong mentor commitment, support and improve your work. How can a strong emotional commitment support and improve your work? How can a strong physical commitment, support and improve your work? Which dimension or dimensions do you leverage most powerfully in your life and in your work? And how do you do that? What does that look like? Which dimensions do you leverage least powerfully? And why? What does that look like? How can you most powerfully engage all four dimensions in your work? Thank the divine for guiding you in this work. Breathe in and out for 30 more seconds. Notice how you feel open your eyes. Now write down your answers from the exercise, plus anything else that comes up for you and make sure you complete this work before you proceed to the next step.
