Have you ever wondered what your students are doing with all of the electronic devices they carry with them to school? The technology available to us makes it necessary to reflect on if we can continue to do what we always have done in the classroom or do we have to change. The students have all the knowledge of the world in the palm of their hand. What are they going to learn then? How can you plan an education that lets your students gain the competencies they need for the 21st century?

I will try to help you answer these questions in this course. We will look at some of the theories about learning, how they can learn and I will show you some of the basics so you can use different tools in your education. You will learn how to use Audacity, Photo Story, Prezi, Social Medias as Learning Management systems, how to make a YouTube Channel and more. I hope this will enable you to experiment and give your students the opportunity to use these tools in the classroom.

Winston Churchill once said of Russia that it is "a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma" in the 21st Century this embodies China- the World's newest superpower- perfectly. There is so much information out there that is not only incorrect and misguided, but steeped in vested interests.

There is a mind-boggling array of information out there about teaching English in China, but the simple fact is that most of it is published by people with something to gain from your decision.

I am a seven year China veteran and have learned from my mistakes the hard way. There are more than 300 million people in China learning English right now, which is around five times the population of the UK, and demand for good teachers to feed the Chinese obsession with learning English is higher than ever. If you are interested in pursuing this adventure then take this course, I give honest no BS information that will help you make a more informed decision.

These Are the Most Comprehensive Easy-To-Understand Adult Education Techniques We’ve Ever Created…

(And Now I Want To Show You How To Reach Every Learner…Every Time)

What if you didn’t have to “pay” for Learning?

Instead…what if Learning “paid” you?

And what if acquiring new learning was as simple as pulling a lever?

It sounds outlandish, but that’s exactly what “Learning Masters” (a.k.a Adult Education Specialists) do.  And once you have completed this mastery class, you too will know how to leverage adult education techniques such as Learning Styles and Teaching Tools to not only grow your employees learning…

…but to grow your employees learning at a PROFIT.

Did you catch that?

You’ll no longer have to practice “hope-and-pray” or “wait-and-see” learning.

Learning will happen, because you’ll know how to make it happen.

But how do you actually do it?

How do you take knowledge + understanding and turn it into wisdom and behavior change for your employees without breaking the bank?

That’s exactly what you’re about to learn…

FACT: All Organizations Need A Repeatable System For Employee Learning

(…That Doesn’t Break the Bank)

Employees are the life-blood of any organization.

It sounds cliché, but it’s true.

That’s why “one size fits all” learning strategies just aren’t enough. Organizations today must have scalable, duplicatable learning strategies that produce real, actionable results from learning if they want consistent growth and retention, and more times than not, these “scalable” strategies come in the form of adult education.

So whether you want to:

  • Hook The Learner

  • Become Their Favorite

  • Create Your Presence

  • Understand Your Learners

  • Reach Every Learner

  • Create Amazing Learning Materials

  • Handle Challenging Learners

…quality adult education is readily available for learning.

You just know how to “teach it” the right way.

There’s just one problem: Most so-called “learning experts” and adult educators don’t know what they’re doing, and they have the results (or lack of results) to prove it.

That’s where you come in.

As an Adult Education Specialist, you are uniquely qualified to help organizations and businesses leverage adult education techniques such as Learning Styles and Teaching Tools and other adult ed techniques to grow your employees learning without breaking the bank.

More specifically, in this master class, you’ll learn:

  • The 4 learning styles of adults and how you can maximize learning by teaching to all of them SIMULTANEOUSLY

  • The secret to discovering what trainees REALLY want to know about your material without them even knowing you did it

  • A proven method for HOOKING your trainees that makes them think your class has been tailored to THEIR needs

  • SPECIALIZED strategies for hooking a “hostile” class that doesn’t want to be there

  • The top 3 ways to show trainees you understand them and their struggles, and why it’s so important to do so

  • How to meet the needs of ALL of your trainees, even though they are completely unique from one trainee to the next

  • An easy, effective method for KEEPING trainees engaged and participating in your class at all times

  • The Rule The Room visual aid toolkit, so you can maximize the benefit of EVERY visual aid in your classroom including the board, your PowerPoint show, sticky notes, and handouts

  • An easy technique to “shut-down” hecklers: Those irritating trainees that sit in the back of the room maliciously badgering you with vocal interruptions

  • A critical tool you MUST use to ensure understanding and maximize performance in 25% of your learners called the “Step” learners

  • The difference between CONCEPTS, CONVENTIONS, and ALGORITHMS and why teaching them accordingly will improve your trainees’ test scores

  • Why most trainers are only able to teach others using their own learning style, and how to be sure you aren’t missing the other 75% of learners in your classroom

  • Clever tricks to buy yourself some time when you need an opportunity to think about how to answer a question

  • 11 ways to make your lectures CAPTIVATING so they can’t wait to hear what you have to say next

  • How to take advantage of working the “sweet spot” – that place in the room that makes you look confident and engaging every time

  • Why some trainees NEED to “discover the concepts themselves” and how you can make that happen for even the most challenging topics

  • The #1 reason trainees dread group work, and an EASY method to turn the table and get them to enjoy it

  • A revolutionary teaching strategy called “Structured Synthesis” that walks trainees through new functionality and concepts in a way that quickly enables them to perform any task on their own

  • How adults learn differently than children and the reason why that difference will change your entire approach to teaching and training

In short,  Adult Education Specialists are able to not only flip the switch to the kind of learning environment that grows and retains employees … they are also able to track, measure and monetize your adult education efforts.

If you’re interested in becoming an Adult Education Specialist, then I have one question for you…

Are You A “Doer”…or Just a “Talker”

(or…why You Might Want To Take this Class)

Let’s face it: Adult Education experts are a dime a dozen.

So how do you separate those who “walk the talk” from the ones who merely…

…talk?

That’s the problem!

And at Rule the Room, it was our problem, too.

When I was a kid, my dad was a teacher and a principal. I watched the kind of impact he had in the classroom, and with his teachers that changed lives…forever.

“When I grow up, I want to have that kind of impact.” I told myself…

Twenty years ago, I set out to make that dream a reality. I went to school to learn how to be a teacher, and I diligently studied every book they taught in both undergraduate and graduate school to make it happen.

As I learned all this “theory” in school, I thought I was being let in on all the secrets my Dad knew…things the best teachers I ever had knew…BOY, WAS I WRONG!

I quickly discovered that the things I learned in school were great on paper, but often couldn’t be applied in a real classroom…

I learned very little (if anything) practical, and I needed things I could use RIGHT AWAY with ANY classroom…

In the very first class I taught, (within the first 5 minutes) I watched a desk fly across the room. After the first week of class, 50% of my students failed the test, and even more had no recall when I reviewed what I taught…

What Was I Doing Wrong?

Why had my 6 years of college training left me SO poorly equipped to handle a real-life classroom?

I needed skills I hadn’t been taught in college, so I decided to go back to all of the best instructors I ever had and ask them how they learned all the amazing techniques they used on me.

You know what they told me?

“Experience…

…some things you just have to experience and learn for yourself.”

I couldn’t accept that.

Why wasn’t there a better way to develop my skills and techniques without having to devote decades of my life to trial and error in a classroom?

I decided to make it my mission to create a program that could provide a better way, a comprehensive program incorporating the most effective teaching and training techniques we’ve ever put together so that others wouldn’t have to go through what I did.

You see, we don’t just teach adult education best practices, we actually MODEL everything we teach…

In other words: WE ACTUALLY DO THIS STUFF…

…so we know how hard it is to find truly skilled people who know what they’re talking about.

And that’s why we created the “Adult Education Mastery” course.

We built this certification to train our own team members, but in the spirit of “open sourcing” our business (which is what Rule the Room is all about) we’re now making this training available to the world.

In short, we’re making it available to YOU…

Adult Education Mastery Course Reviews:

“I took this course from Jason on adult education, and it was a phenomenally useful experience.  Jason gave me a strong theoretical background for teaching adults, and also a huge arsenal of tools and strategies for engaging adults in the classroom.  I'd recommend this course to anyone who needs to teach adults."

  - Simon Tanzman- Corporate Trainer

“Just wanted to thank you for the very helpful and informative Video Training these past two days.   Although I have taught adult users for > 13 years at Midlands Tech. and have many student 'peace and war stories' of my own, I feel like I learned many helpful tidbits of information that will be so very useful as I train the LMC staff in the future. Thanks again."

  - Stephanie DiMaggio- Credentialed Trainer

“It helped me understand effective communication techniques as well as group dynamics. These have set me up for success not only in direct teaching situations, but also in settings from small informal meetings all the way up to meetings with executives."

Rule The Room Train The Trainer Foundation Is Different

Sure, you can probably find other “train-the-trainer” trainings and certifications that cover similar topics, but a Rule the Room Foundation is unique because it’s built and taught by real trainers who actually write and train their own classes and observe, coach and train thousands of trainers to mastery.

In other words, we aren’t “researchers” sharing “theoretical fluff”. We’re in-the-trenches trainers who despise untested theory and believe that the best way to learn training techniques is to actually get up and teach in front of a real classroom. If that sounds like something that fits you, then welcome! You’re in the right place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: “How will this Adult Education Mastery Class help me?”

A: It depends on who you are…..

If you’re a business owner, this course is a great way to learn adult education yourself. It’s also a great way to train members of your own team and get them up to speed in half the time on the latest adult education trends and best practices.

If you’re a consultant, this course is a practical way to show that you are an Adult Education Specialist, which could help you attract better, higher-paying clients, boost their ROI and efficiency, and lower turnover, safety and security concerns.

If you’re a student, this course can set you apart from other graduates who may have a business or education degree, but don’t have the specialized skills that employers today are looking for.

If you’re an employee or training professional, this course can make you more valuable to your company, which can get you that raise or promotion you may deserve (but don’t have a reason to request).

Q: “How valuable is this Rule the Room Adult Education Mastery Course?”

A: The course itself is highly valuable if your goal is to set yourself apart from the competition.   What’s even MORE valuable than any course is the knowledge and understanding you’re going to gain when you take this class and pass all the tests. You will know adult education. I’ll say that again: YOU WILL KNOW ADULT EDUCATION.

Q: “When do I have to finish the class?”

A: You can go at whatever pace suits you best! You’ve got a lot of other things going on in your life, so just because you enroll in the workshop doesn’t mean you need to complete it right away. In fact, you can start and finish the workshop whenever you want. Either way, we’re going to be there with you every step of the way to ensure you’re successful and can get certified.

Q: “How soon can I finish the class?”

A: The Adult Education Mastery class is 8 hours of video training, so if you are dedicating yourself full time to it, you could probably finish in one day, but we don’t recommend that. Instead, we recommend you take 3 – 7 days (if you can give your full attention to the material. If you only have a little bit of time each day, then you should dedicated 14 – 21 days to finish it up and take the test.

Q: “How certain can I be that I will finish?”

A: It’s never a guarantee. If it was, then our course wouldn’t mean anything. Instead, it does mean something, and because of that, you’re going to have to work at this thing to get finished. When you do finish, you can be certain that it will actually mean something. The class and the activities are both going to challenge you, but rest assured we make everything simple, easy to understand, and quick to learn. With that said, you will have to earn your completion.

Q: How hard is the course?

A: You can liken our course to the story of “goldilocks and the three bears” – not too hot and not too cold. In other words, they’re hard enough that you need to study and know your stuff, but we don’t make them intentionally hard just to be difficult. We make them as hard as they need to be to make sure you know how to “Rule the Room”. We believe learning doesn’t happen until a behavior change occurs, so to preserve the integrity of this course, we have made the class challenging and the questions specific to our proprietary Rule the Room Train the Trainer techniques, methodologies and recipes. Don’t expect to pass the test course because you have taken other trainings or certification courses in the past. This training is different, and the activites will reflect those differences.

Q: Why are Adult Education experts priceless?

A: A master at teaching adults so they can apply what they learn and grow in their skills is one of the learning team’s most valuable assets.   A successfully scaled adult education curriculum at scale can pay for itself immediately with employee growth and retention and these skills can make you truly irreplaceable.

Ordinary instructional designers just don’t get it….

There was a time when having expertise was enough, but today (if you actually want to get engagement, learning and retention), you need to do more.

So how do you do it?

How do you build “curriculum” that turns instructional design into engagement, learning and retention?

Fortunately, that’s what you’re about to learn.

FACT: Businesses Need Instructional Designers

(…Who Actually Know What They’re Doing)

I’m not going to sell you on the importance of instructional design.

If you’re here, you already know it’s an essential aspect of any training strategy, because instructional design:

  • Increases ROI and efficiency…

  • Engages and nurtures both employees and trainers by providing ACTUAL results, and most importantly it…

  • Enables your training to be engaging (and stick consistently!)

In other words, instructional design increases ROI and efficiency and lowers employee turnover: The lifeblood of any business.

So that’s why businesses need instructional designers.

There’s just one problem: Most so called “instructional designers” don’t know what they’re doing.

That’s where you come in.

As an Instructional Design Specialist, you are uniquely qualified to help business convert training into engagement, learning and retention.

Jason Teteak is the Founder and CEO of Rule the Room Train the Trainer.  Jason first made a reputation in the medical training industry, where he was known as “the Epic trainer of trainers.” In response to many requests, he began to offer personalized services and quickly developed a following as a private training coach and training consultant whose clientele includes elite institutions, universities, and top corporations.

In 20 years of working as a trainer and a trainer coach, he has helped more than 15,000 training professionals to “Rule the Room” and has appeared before more than 200,000 people. He’s won praise and a wide following for his original methods, his engaging style, and his knack for transferring training skills via practical, simple, universal and immediately actionable techniques. Or as he puts it “No theoretical fluff”.

He founded Rule the Room Train the Trainer with a mission to DOUBLE the impact of 10,000 training professionals in the next 5 years. The Rule the Room Train the Trainer team, under Jason’s management, has flipped the model and changed the approach to great training and instruction for even the most seasoned veterans.

Rule the Room Instructional Design Pro Is Different

Sure, you can probably find other “instructional design” trainings and certifications that cover similar topics, but Rule the Room instructional design is unique because it’s built and taught by real trainers who actually write and train their own classes and observe, coach and train thousands of trainers to mastery.

Instructional Design Pro Course: Reviews

“Jason’s methods set the standard by which other trainers measure themselves. When I experience a problem in class or another trainer asks me for advice, the first thing that goes through my mind is, what would Jason do in this situation?”

Bren Mochocki - Software Trainer & Corporate Trainer Coach

“Jason is an engaging teacher who is not only knowledgeable about this field, but is intensely passionate about it. This course not only gave me the knowledge, insight, and skills to excel in this new role, but the confidence to implement these new skills and to share this knowledge with others.”

Lorielle Ouimette - Physician Software Trainer

“Jason’s passion for helping trainers is so contagious. When I work with him, not only do I want to be a better trainer, I want to be able to help others the way that he helped me.”

Sarah Gernetzke - Corporate Trainer at Epic

“You taught me and many, many other trainers here how to not only survive in the classroom, but how to thrive. We owe you a big thanks.”

Paul Mellon - Software Trainer

“So many of us have become better instructional designers/presenters/trainers/etc. as a result of your tips and in turn helped our customer trainers grow in their presentation skills as well.”

Lauren Wons - Training Team Lead

“Jason’s experience with teaching and working with our trainers and trainees has given him an unmatched knowledge of how to best train adult learners. During our sessions, he not only helped me develop the techniques to be a great presenter, but he told me exactly why those techniques work and why they are important to my audience. I was quickly able to incorporate many of his tried-and-true methods, such as standing in the “sweet spot” and making eye-contact with everyone every few minutes, and IMMEDIATELY saw an improvement with my class engagement and understanding. His genuine and passionate interest in training is apparent and contagious-Jason truly embodies what it means to be a great trainer and inspires those around him to do the same.”

Leanne Britton - Software Trainer

“Jason embodies the meaning of the word "coach". Always accommodating, he meets others on their terms and speaks their language in order to communicate everything necessary. You will be hard pressed to catch Jason idly spinning his wheels or wasting time. Everything he does is for a reason and is building toward something. Given the variety of education and psychology theory that he has spontaneously absorbed and researched over the years, Jason always tailors a custom plan for growth and development based on what is truly needed then and there. Every roadblock is anticipated and resolved before it occurs. It is very easy to work with Jason. As a true leader, he always makes you feel like you were the one to come up with the solution, or you arrived at your own realizations without any guidance on his part. Would that more of us were so gentle yet effective.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: “How will this Instructional Design course help me?”

A: It depends on who you are…..

If you’re a business owner, this certification is a great way to learn instructional design yourself. It’s also a great way to train and certify members of your own team and get them up to speed in half the time on the latest instructional design trends and best practices.

If you’re a consultant, this certification is a practical way to show that you are an Instructional Design Specialist, which could help you attract better, higher-paying clients, boost their ROI and efficiency, and lower turnover, safety and security concerns.

If you’re a student, this certificate can set you apart from other graduates who may have a business or education degree, but don’t have the specialized skills that employers today are looking for.

If you’re an employee or training professional, this certificate can make you more valuable to your company, which can get you that raise or promotion you may deserve (but don’t have a reason to request).

Q: “How valuable is this Instructional Design Course?”

A: The course itself is highly valuable if your goal is to set yourself apart from the competition.   What’s even MORE valuable than any course is the knowledge and understanding you’re going to gain when you take this class and pass all the tests. You will know instructional design. I’ll say that again: YOU WILL KNOW INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN.

A: The Instructional Design Mastery class is in three parts.  You will need the three courses on Udemy to complete the 16 hours of video training, so if you are dedicating yourself full time to it, you could probably finish in 3 days, but we don’t recommend that. Instead, we recommend you take 7 – 14 days (if you can give your full attention to the material. If you only have a little bit of time each day, then you should dedicated 4 – 6 weeks to finish it up and take the test.

Q: “How certain can I be that I will finish?”

A: It’s never a guarantee. If it was, then our course wouldn’t mean anything. Instead, it does mean something, and because of that, you’re going to have to work at this thing to get completed. When you do finish, you can be certain that it will actually mean something. The class and the activities are both going to challenge you, but rest assured we make everything simple, easy to understand, and quick to learn. With that said, you will have to earn your completion.

Q: “How hard is the course?”

We believe learning doesn’t happen until a behavior change occurs, so to preserve the integrity of this certification, we have made the test challenging and the questions specific to our proprietary Rule the Room Train the Trainer techniques, methodologies and recipes. Don’t expect to pass the test just because you have taken other trainings or certification courses in the past. This training is different, and the course will reflect those differences.

Q: Why are Instructional Designers so valuable?

A: Instructional Design is the front line effort of all your training and retention efforts. If you know how to develop appropriate content at the right time in the employee and customer journey, and EXACTLY how to implement it, then you’ll be able to build a path to better results and ensure everyone knows how to do their part in the best way possible. When you can help others teach twice as much in even less time, you’ll be one of the most essential employees at your organization.

In this course teachers will get an overview of Work-Based learning and best practices for WBL implementation, including Guest Speakers, Industry Tours, Job Shadows and Internships.

Begin with ideas of how you can integrate Work-Based learning into your classroom through career exploration and goal setting.

Students also need to find out what it takes to get a job, and start building their personal brand.  By making a resume now and studying the resume that they will one day need, they can start to plan out their educational pathway as well as identify the skills they need to build in order to get a job.

Although you will have help setting up your WBL experiences, there are many logistics that need to be addressed in order to ensure success.  This module includes check lists, best practices and tips for setting up WBL.

Preparing students for WBL includes more than just career exploration.  Take time to talk about professional dress & behavior as well as some of the ways they can present themselves in order to show their interest and respect.

In order for WBL to be sustainable, it is important to thank your industry partners and find out if they have any feedback.  For students to reap the most rewards from WBL you need to intentionally take time in class to reflect on the experience.

Although this training is targeted towards teachers in San Diego & Imperial Counties in California, the listed resources are all free on our website and the information is likely applicable to any other teacher looking to integrate more WBL into their classroom.

Of course, if you attempt to repair your Bob or bObi, but are unsuccessful or the problem is still not resolved, your warranty is not affected. Send your bot to our repair center so that our expert team can take a look.

Students: 3460, Price:  Free

Are you working with young people or in the field of education? Looking for ideas and inspiration on how to bring in more movement, playfulness and impact into your educational work? This online course is for you!

We will introduce you to the main elements and principles of embodied learning – a contemporary pedagogical theory of learning, which emphasizes the use of the body in educational practice. In the embodied learning process, one's body becomes a laboratory through which one learns – through movement, touch, drawing, journal writing, reflection and other activities.

Embodied learning is a powerful tool to develop young people's social and emotional skills, sense of initiative and entrepreneurial mindsets and also to build more peaceful, connected and responsible communities. Moreover, the education that connects us with our bodies, gives us power – the ability to trust ourselves, navigate through difficult situations and changes, to know how to learn and bring to life our learning.

The course has been prepared by an international team of trainers, who will share their experiences and the best practices of delivering body awareness, learning and movement based on non-formal learning programs, for both young people and adults.

The learning content is structured in four modules:

  • Introduction to the concepts and principles of embodied learning.

  • Embodied learning methods that help to develop social and civic skills, entrepreneurship and initiative.

  • Tools and tips to improve facilitation skills and boost professional achievements.

  • Insight into the future, where instructors will explore the newest developments that combine embodied learning and technologies, for the sake of learning.

The course includes brief inputs from instructors, links to useful resources and methods that can be adapted for your work, and practical assignments. As you will discover, there are no right or wrong answers to the assignments - their purpose is to deepen an understanding of the topic, to encourage reflection and to develop and share ideas with other learners that will prove useful in your work.

Upon successful completion of the course, you can receive a Youthpass certificate, which is a recognition instrument for projects supported by Erasmus+ program. The Youthpass Certificate is recognized and respected internationally and can be helpful when looking for job opportunities, especially in youth, non-formal education and the non-governmental sector. Please, note that in order to request Youthpass, all the assignments must be completed.

The project Embodied Change is financed with the support of European Commission's Erasmus+: Youth in Action, administered in Latvia by the Agency for International Programs for Youth. The Complete Train the Trainer Bootcamp (Part 1): All Levels

Created by Jason Teteak - Author, YouTuber, Keynote & TEDx Speaker, CEO Rule the Room

"]

Students: 3211, Price: $124.99

Students: 3211, Price:  Paid

This program dives deeply into the strategies and techniques you need to be an effective trainer. You’ll not only discover how to motivate adult learners, keep them interested, deal with challenging participants, and maximize learning, but you will actually do it yourself.

When You Finish This Training, You’ll Have a Proven Plan For:

TRULY ENGAGING,

APPLICABLE CLASSROOM TRAINING

That Doubles Learner Retention in Half the Time with Curriculum You Already Have (Even If It’s Boring)

Ineffective training costs money.

According to Grovo, the total loss to a business from ineffective training is a staggering: $13.5M Per Year per 1,000 employees. Not surprisingly, if you ask most trainers and managers about their training efforts, their responses are typically less than enthusiastic…

“Our learning programs aren’t doing a good job meeting our learner’s needs.”

“I’m not achieving my full potential at work due to lack of developmental opportunities.”

“I don’t know how to apply the skills from the training I received on the job.”

Or the always-popular…

“Training is boring.”

Say what you will about classroom training, but the fact is…

There’s Nothing Boring About DOUBLING Your Retention Without Having To Increase Your Training Time

Ordinary trainers may think classroom training is “boring”… …but smart trainers know better.

Smart trainers know that, when executed properly, there’s no faster, easier or more cost-effective way to engage employees to reach their full potential than classroom training.

But how do you do it the right way?

Specifically,

  • How do you get your employees excited about your training to attend a class or listen to a lesson so they take the desired action? And then, when they attend…

  • How do you get your class engaged (even the difficult learners) and keep them motivated to listen and learn ALL DAY? And once they’re engaged?

  • How do you make sure the learning sticks and they can apply the skills from the training they receive to their job? (Their real jobs…not the “Theory” job and DEFINITELY NOT the “Recycle” bin.) Then…

  • How do you measure the entire process so that all your new trainers and employees are skilled and you’re not spending more money and time on retraining?

These are the questions every classroom trainer must be able to answer…

More importantly, these are the questions every MANAGER must be able to answer if they want to fully maximize their training efforts (without having to replace employees as a result of turnover.)

So if you want to make sure that your employees not only are engaged…

…but also are highly motivated, retaining and applying their learning and (most importantly) achieving their full potential (and sticking around because of it), then you need to work on these critical steps.

But how do you do it?

Fortunately, that’s exactly what you’re about to learn…

FACT: Businesses Need Effective Classroom Trainers

(…Who Actually Know What They’re Doing)

I’m not going to sell you on the importance of classroom training. If you’re here, you already know it’s an essential aspect of any training strategy, because effective classroom training:

  • Is one of the highest ROI activities in your business…

  • Engages employees who are disengaged to achieve their full potential at work resulting in higher retention rates and less labor turnover…

  • Makes the workplace a lot more fun and inspiring translating into less money spent on retraining and development.

In other words, effective classroom training on-boards, engages and retains quality employees…and it can save money as a result. So that’s why businesses need effective classroom trainers.

There’s just one problem: Most so called “classroom trainers” aren’t as effective as employees would like them to be.

That’s where you come in.

As a Certified Classroom Training Specialist, you are uniquely qualified to help business onboards, engages and retains quality employees through effective classroom training.

More specifically, in this master class, you’ll learn:

  • How to create TRUST with each trainee before class even starts… (Do this right and you’ll see participants crave your class and want only YOU as their trainer!)

  • How to captivate them within the first five minutes … (HINT: have a “less than amazing opener” and their excitement and enthusiasm will suffer.)

  • How to use proven techniques to generate MORE credibility and MORE rapport and get them in the palm of your hand by the first break…

  • Which questions and techniques you should be engaging them on a lesson-to-lesson basis so their minds never wander…

  • “Attention CPR”…How to help them follow along and make sure they stay on track and get them listening and participating again!

  • The “lightbulbs” concept attainment strategy (and why applying these 5 simple steps will practically ensure they “get it” – even for the most challenging concepts.)

  • Using Non-Verbals: 6 body language and tone of voice techniques to get you’re your trainees to listen, learn, follow, understand and apply what you say.

  • FOUR Q&A steps that actually work and ensure you’re only the perfect questions! (This is how to answer any question, even if you haven’t got an answer)

  • The two most important things to do with ANY challenging trainee to minimize distractions (Get this wrong the negative, inattentive and apathetic employees will take control)

  • Amazing Ending: The perfect way to end the class and show it was worthwhile to move them to respond with enthusiasm and apply what they learned to the real world.

  • Benchmark Assessing: How to ensure each learner has mastered key objectives (so you always know who’s ready to move forward even after class is done).

  • The 9 sneaky tricks that triple your classroom fun and enjoyment (and when to use them)

  • Lesson Plan Creation: The exact steps to prepare and practice your own irresistible training that you can be certain they will crave everything you have to teach.

  • 3 must-use tools to organize your material deliverability (and visuals that make sure complex ideas are clearer and more memorable)

  • …and much, MUCH more!

In short, Certified Classroom Training Specialists (a.k.a. “Training Masters”) are able toeffectively motivate any trainees, while simultaneously increasing engagement and retention in less time.

If you’re interested in becoming such a “Training Master,” then I have one question for you…

Are You A “Doer”…or Just a “Talker?”

(or…Why You Might Want To Get Certified)

Let’s face it: Training Experts are a dime a dozen.

So how do you separate those who “walk the talk” from the ones who merely…

…talk?

And at Rule the Room, it was our problem, too. You see, we don’t just teach training best practices, we actually DO TRAINING for businesses that we ACTUALLY OWN, CONSULT, or WORK FOR.

We aren’t researchers. We aren’t journalists.

We’re business owners training employees (and training trainers to train employees) to achieve their full potential at work, convert belief into practice, and make retaining our employees a priority.

In other words: WE ACTUALLY DO THIS STUFF

…so we know how hard it is to find truly skilled trainers who know what they’re talking about.

And that’s why we created the “Classroom Training Mastery” course and certification.

We built this certification to train our own trainers, but in the spirit of “open sourcing” our business (which is what Rule the Room is all about) we’re now making this certification and training available to the world.

In short, we’re making it available to YOU…

Rule The Room Trainer Bootcamp Is Different

Sure, you can probably find other “train-the-trainer” trainings and certifications that cover similar topics, but a Rule the Room Trainer Bootcamp is unique because it’s built and taught by real trainers who actually write and train their own classes and observe, coach and train thousands of trainers to mastery.

Trainer Bootcamp Course: Reviews

"These techniques have been extremely valuable to me as a trainer. The training tools are taught in such a way that you can walk away from the program and start implementing change in your classroom immediately. I've become better at answering questions and more confident in my teaching style."

Kara McCaffrey - Software Trainer

“This is Kelly Markowski from your Trinity Health bootcamp that ended yesterday (11/19). I just wanted to send a quick note of thanks for the great tools. I am constantly seeking to improve my training skills, both to have something better to offer trainees, as well as to increase my own comfort level with it, and I know that I will be using a lot of your material to do both! I think it's important to express genuine gratitude, so I just wanted to let you know that the bootcamp was very beneficial for me.”

Kelly Markowski - MHSA, RHIT - Consultant, Program Excellence - Trinity Health

“So many of us have become better presenters/trainers/etc. as a result of your tips and in turn helped our customer trainers grow in their presentation skills as well.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: “How will this Complete Trainer Bootcamp Mastery course help me?”

A: It depends on who you are…..

If you’re a business owner, this course is a great way to learn classroom training yourself. It’s also a great way to train and certify members of your own team and get them up to speed in half the time on the latest classroom training trends and best practices.

If you’re a consultant, this course is a practical way to show that you are a Classroom Training Specialist, which could help you attract better, higher-paying clients, boost their ROI and efficiency, and lower turnover, safety and security concerns.

If you’re a student, this course can set you apart from other graduates who may have a business or education degree, but don’t have the specialized skills that employers today are looking for.

If you’re an employee or training professional, this coursecan make you more valuable to your company, which can get you that raise or promotion you may deserve (but don’t have a reason to request).

Q: “How valuable is this Classroom Training Mastery course?”

A: The course itself is highly valuable if your goal is to set yourself apart from the competition.   What’s even MORE valuable than any course is the knowledge and understanding you’re going to gain when you take this class and pass all the tests. You will know classroom training.

A: The Classroom Training Mastery class is in three parts.

Q: How hard is the course?

A: You can liken our courses to the story of “goldilocks and the three bears” – not too hot and not too cold. In other words, they’re hard enough that you need to study and know your stuff, but we don’t make them intentionally hard just to be difficult. We make them as hard as they need to be to make sure you know how to “Rule the Room”. We believe learning doesn’t happen until a behavior change occurs, so to preserve the integrity of this course, we have made the course challenging and the questions specific to our proprietary Rule the Room Train the Trainer techniques, methodologies and recipes. Don’t expect to pass the course just because you have taken other trainings or certification courses in the past. This training is different, and the courses will reflect those differences.

Q: Do you offer grants or financial aid for your programs?

A: At this time, no grants or financial aid programs are available. The good news is that we have priced all our workshops and trainings so that they are affordable to everyone, especially compared to similar train-the-trainer programs and workshops.

Students: 3180, Price:  Free

This course is designed for women's ministry leaders, youth leaders, and caring adults who want to help our young women learn about and reclaim their identities in Christ.

Many of the issues we currently identify as stemming from "low self-esteem" will only be remedied when our young ladies realize who they already are in Christ. It's one thing to tell a girl to ignore negative messaging about her worth, but it's quite another to help her claim positive messages from God for herself.

This course will empower anyone who works with young ladies to lead them to see the truth about who they are in Christ.

This course is taught by video, with the guides, exercises and Leader's notes in pdf format so you can make copies for your group discussions. It should take you about two hours to watch and complete the materials for yourself before you teach, but it has ample enough materials and discussion topics to lead a course that would last an around 4 hours.

The curriculum includes:

  • 4 signs to tell if your girl is struggling with identity issues and simple ways you can address them now
  • Bible discovery guides that demonstrate the characteristics of Christ that make Him attractive as a personal friend, and the subsequent influence of God as creator and a personal friend to give true identity markers
  • A guide to critical thinking about media messaging and how it shapes identity
  • Practical media deconstruction exercise you can do right now to help your girl reclaim her identity from false messaging
  • Testimony from a Christian counselor on how false identity causes pain for young people
  • Testimony from a recovering eating disorder sufferer on how identity in Christ saved her
  • Additional resources

Thank you so much for considering this course. I know it will be a blessing to the girl(s) you work with!

How to use feedback formats to run group feedback sessions in the arts, schoools and business

Created by Karim Benammar, Ph.D. - Philosopher and author

"]

Students: 2908, Price: Free

Students: 2908, Price:  Free

Ideally, feedback offers wonderful opportunities for improvement in
the creative process. We get a sense of the effect of our creation on an
audience, we receive new perspectives on our approach, and we get
inspiration and encouragement for the work ahead. Everyone learns: the
person receiving feedback, the person giving feedback, and, in a group
setting, those observing the process.

Giving and receiving feedback well is not easy, however. All too
often, those giving feedback fall into judgment or giving advice, and
those receiving feedback become overwhelmed and defensive: we find it
hard not to take it personally. In an educational setting, feedback and
evaluation are usually mixed up, which leads to serious issues of
openness and trust.

I have designed these feedback formats to break through our usual
feedback patterns and to separate thinking from emotion. The formats
are artificial on purpose, so that they force us to formulate feedback
in a way which is helpful and enriching. These formats are based on and
adapted from existing feedback and thinking techniques.

This material was developed between 2009 and 2011 for peer
learning processes at the Amsterdam Film Academy and the DAS Master of
Theatre programme of the Amsterdam University for the Arts. The best way
to get a sense of how the formats work in practice is to watch A film about feedback which chronicles group feedback sessions in Amsterdam and at the Theatre Festival in Goteborg, Sweden. (included as bonus lecture)

This online course consists of instruction videos for the formats
and facilitator. I am making it available to encourage artists,
teachers and everyone else interested in group feedback. Feel free to
download and use the videos, powerpoint and handout in your own
sessions. The material is made available under a Creative Commons
attribution license, which means you can do it with what you want, as
long as you acknowledge its source. Please be aware that these formats
were developed specifically for group peer feedback sessions on
work-in-progress – if your situation is different, you will need to
adapt them accordingly. Good luck!
