Do you want to become an expert web developer?
I've worked with tons of different platforms from PC to Playstation, and nothing beats the power of Google Chrome Developer Tools. Let's take advantage of that.
This course is the comprehensive guide to DevTools. We start with simple styling examples, and use tools like the colorpicker and box shadow editor to design our pages. But we move quickly to advanced topics like using the Audits panel to understand slow page performance, and the memory panel to understand why our app might be leaking memory.
- I learned a lot of things I didn't know about although I've used Devtools for many years. -Bernard Niset
- My first Udemy course, but I enjoyed it thoroughly. I have some prior experience with chrome dev tools, but there were still some tips I will be taking with me from this course - Stephen Wong
- The instructor is clear and concise and the course is loaded with information. There are even some valuable nuggets for experienced developers! - Tom Fitch
Here's a sample of what you'll be able to achieve after taking this class:
- Add advanced styling with built-in editors like the animations panel and the transitions editor.
- Analyze network calls, and even hack the dinner reservation system on Yelp.
- Speed up your page load speeds with Audits and Lighthouse to make your site blazingly fast.
- Profile and fix rendering, CPU and memory bottlenecks.
Every minute of this course provides valuable information and there is minimal repetition and typing. The course was built in 2017 with a prerelease version of Chrome and even demonstrates the use of experimental features such as Workspaces 2.0.
For the beginners, I start slow, but work quickly towards advanced usage, and for the experts, I've made sure to sprinkle in original techniques to improve your web pages that can't be found anywhere else.

Confidence on Zoom: Tips and Tools to Look Like a Pro
Everything you need to be at ease with the technology + ready to speak and present yourself with authenticity on Zoom.
Created by Alexa Fischer - Speaker, confidence coach and entrepreneur
Students: 1120, Price: $94.99
Students: 1120, Price: Paid
It’s time to get past any story you’ve told about the limits of technology - and become confident at connecting deeply - even through the screen.
Look, I get it - in a world full of Zoom meetings, video interviews, and video content - it’s easy to feel like you’re just not one of “those” people.
You know, the ones who are natural on camera - they look bright, sound smooth, and somehow always appear at the most flattering angle...
Not you - you think your voice sounds weird, you never know what to say, you click the wrong buttons, and you’re just not good at navigating the technology.
(Let’s tell the truth - awkwardness on Zoom is a pandemic of its own, at this point!)
Or maybe you feel fine feeling your way around the Zoom app - but you default to camera OFF mode, for fear of being seen not looking your best. You’re there, but you don’t feel you look “ready.”
Or maybe you settle for an average, dimly lit angle, and you DO hop on video… but then when you’re called on, you just don’t know what to say. You stumble and stare at yourself, feeling self-conscious and awkward at best, and unprepared or embarrassed at worst.
The truth is - no one’s naturally great on camera. It takes practice.
Confidence on Zoom is designed to give you everything you need to be at ease with the technology - and ready to speak and present yourself beautifully in the age of video calling.
In this course, you'll learn how to:
Confidently present yourself for any on-camera meeting or video interview!
Undo sneaky, negative thoughts that perpetuate insecurity about being seen.
Make sure your brand and signature voice comes through - even on video conference calls!
Build more confidence in your public speaking and presentation skills.
Connect your business goals to the evolution of remote learning and Zoom technology.
Find out the best camera, lighting, and sound/microphone basics for video events!
Make your background tell the story of who you are - express yourself with the best camera set-up.
How to connect with an audience AS IF you’re still in-person, or in-the-room with them.
Feel comfortable making a great first impression while navigating Zoom technology effortlessly!
And if this past year has taught us anything - it’s that we have to be good at adapting the way we work, collaborate, and speak to be effective from a distance.
I’m Alexa Fischer, and I’m a best-selling Udemy instructor with over 114,000 students around the globe. I’m also a former actress who has appeared in roles on top TV shows like NCIS, CSI, and Bones (as well as too many commercials to mention). I took my love of people and became a confidence coach, appearing on The Today Show as well as the stages of major corporations like Sony and IBM, working with executives from Pepsico, Google, and Trader Joes. For the last few years, I've been busy building my latest creation - Wishbeads - intentional jewelry to help make your deepest wishes come true.
In other words, I know what it takes to put in the work, learn new things, and shine brightly. I've done it and I can teach you how to do it too!
By the end of this course, you’ll know how to navigate the app with confidence without losing your train of thought - and how to dress and arrange your on-camera space for an on-brand, bright presentation that looks hi-definition and professional.
You’ll be armed with the right information about hosting meetings, sending invitations, optimizing your audio and lighting. And I know that once we’ve gone over the basics of equipment and how to look and feel prepared, you’ll actually be able to network on the platform.
You might even have ideas for how to use it to optimize business opportunities from the comfort of your own home - without feeling technologically clueless - and we’ll talk about that too.
It’s crucial that you get the technological details squared away - then you can relax and be at ease on camera.
And I’ve got news for you - the video calling era is really just beginning.
How do you make your background look professional and clean? How can you put your logo or business name on the screen? And how do you avoid the upward, unflattering angle we’re seeing everywhere? You need to know - and after this set of lessons, you’ll be ready.
You can be engaging and yes, even “connected” - on Zoom. Virtual environments are different, but they can still bring people together - and you can still find ways to really impact the people you work with and speak to, and you can find ways to be yourself!
I’m here to guide you through the discomfort of “Zoom fatigue” and more - so you can learn to be at ease, empowered, and - perhaps most importantly - excited to be yourself on camera. See you in class!

Does this sound familiar?
"I don't have the time to learn by trial and error, I want to learn fast"
"I'm overwhelmed by all the available training out there, I need a solid course that will give be everything I need to hit the ground running"
"Every time I run Pro Tools, I get overwhelmed, and go back to Fruity Loops, I need a course to get me out of this loop:)"
"I need someone to show me things that I won't be able to pick up by myself"
"I want a course to give me the confidence and knowledge needed to use Pro Tools like a pro"
"I am after a simple, jargon-free way to learn Pro Tools"
"I need answers to my questions on the spot"
"I have no recording experience and I would like a pro to show me where to start from"
"I would like to have control over my projects and know how to organise my workflow"
If the answer is YES! then this course is for you.
The objective of the Jump Start series is to get you comfortable using Pro Tools and give you solid foundations. You will know where things are and will no longer be frustrated and default back to Fruity Loops or Garage band. And best of all you can ask as many questions as you like! It's just like having your own private instructor.
What if you don't have Pro Tools yet?
You can download the 30-day Pro Tools free trial from the Avid website. You will only need to buy an iLok to download the demo license on.
A few things you need to know about Pro Tools and this course before you start:
When you take the decision of buying and using Pro Tools, it might be very confusing to know which training to follow or where to start from! Knowing how to use Pro Tools features and producing great music tracks are two different things. Beware! Pro Tools is a bit like a shiny Porsche:) It's tempting to hop in, put the pedal to the metal, after all the great features are there to use. However, it can be easy to go down a path where you won't be using the features appropriately and in a way that truly won't help you achieve your goals.
The Jump Start series aims to provide you with the help you need to understand the fundamentals while also learning how to best apply Pro Tools features in the context of the work you do. The objective of this series is to get you confident in bringing to life your audio and music production ideas. It is this skill of understanding exactly where things are and how to properly use them in context that will set you apart from the crowd.
In this first course, we will work together on a simple project in which you will be creating an electronic music track using loops that you can find and download from the “course materials" section of the "Creating your first session" lecture. The idea is to first start with a collection of loops and end up with a full track. I will also show you how to record your own loops. You will need about two hours to complete this course.
I will be working on Pro Tools 11 but you can use any other version and you will still be able to complete this course without any problem. Just so you're able to see what I'm seeing, it's safer to work on Pro Tools 9 or on any later version. If you have an earlier version of Pro Tools, it's fine, things might look different, there will be minor changes that you will experience but besides that there is nothing to worry about. I will also be using a MAC throughout the course. If you're using a PC, everything will be the same except for the shortcuts. But don't worry, I will teach you shortcuts on both systems.
In all cases if you're confused, please send me your questions, and I will be more than happy to help you out.
Enjoy the course and am looking forward to helping you master Pro Tools in no time.

Let’s set the record straight…
When most people think of the recording studio, they picture their favorite artist in a big fancy commercial studio. There’s a huge console, lots of outboard gear, and tons of buttons! However, what if I told you that a majority of recording these days takes place at home? See, modern technology has revolutionized the way we make records. Gone are the days of booking time at an expensive commercial studio. Sure they have their place. But, many artists want to make their music from the comfort of their own home. There’s no time limit, the recording is more accessible, and there’s less pressure. The truth is that most people think you have to get a degree from a college or university to learn music production. Or they try the DIY (do it yourself) approach and never actually learn because the amount of wrong information online is overwhelming. As an audio engineer myself, I can’t name one time where someone has asked me what degree I have. Most people go through four years of college only to get a few hours of studio time. How do I know this? Because I use to work for a famous recording studio. They took in interns from well-known colleges throughout the United States. These interns held four-year degrees but, when it came down to it, they had little to no hands-on knowledge of how to work in a studio. Most of them couldn’t even wrap a mic cable properly. There’s an obvious problem there. By taking this course, you will gain practical knowledge of how to set up and operate your own Pro Tools home studio. You will avoid the pitfalls of purchasing equipment you don’t need, guessing how things work, and ultimately giving up. Best of all, these technical skills will translate over to commercial studios too.
