So what is "Easy Origami" all about?

If you are interested in origami, but have no previous knowledge and really want to learn then this course will allow you to begin making beautiful pieces. It can be extremely difficult to try and learn origami from diagrams which I'm sure is the reason many people give up before they have even begun. Fortunately in today's world, teaching has become so much easier with step by step "over the shoulder" videos showing every detail. Easy Origami will walk you through how to create six beautiful pieces of simple origami paper art.

I begin by showing you which tools and paper you will need to be able to complete the course. This basic set of tools includes the following items - a knife, ruler, glue stick, cutting board and of course some origami paper. This paper craft course is for beginners and I start by showing you the technique for cutting out a square from an A 4 size sheet of paper which is what you need to make these pieces.

Once you have your paper prepared I then show you how to do paper folding accurately so that you can practice these basic folds before we begin making the first piece.

I teach you how to create the following six items:

  1. Origami Crane
  2. Origami Flower
  3. Origami Transforming Ninja Star
  4. Origami Star
  5. Origami Butterfly
  6. Origami Swan

Each item has its own "easy to follow" video where I walk you through, step by step on how to fold the paper to create the piece. If you have never done origami before then watching over my shoulder as I make each item is the best way for beginners to learn.

You can watch the videos as many times as you like until you have successfully completed each piece and are ready to move onto the next one. The course takes just over an hour to go through all the training videos but it will take you longer to learn each piece as you may need to watch each video several times. If you are new to origami and have a desire to begin making these beautiful pieces of paper art then this course is a great place to start.

I also provide a list of places you can find some great origami paper as well as eight different colourful patterns that you can print out and use. On completing the Easy Origami course you will be presented a Certificate congratulating you on successfully learning the basics of origami and having the skills to make six beautiful pieces. Once you have these basic skills you will then be able to progress to more advanced Origami creations in the future.

Modular origami, also called 3D origami, is a specific kind of origami that evolved in the 18th century. Instead of making a shape out of a single piece of paper the complex shapes are assembled out of tiny modules.

The purpose of this course is to show you the basic techniques for working with triangular modules - both while folding them and when assembling into more complex shapes. To complete it you don't need any previous knowledge of neither modular nor regular origami - and the required level of manual precision for modular origami is noticeably lower than for regular one, which makes it a perfect craft to do together with children.

This course does not contain a set of shapes you can repeat and be done with, but rather the generic ways of assembling the pieces together allowing you to implement them in any craft of your choice.

This course is designed for complete beginners or people with little experience in origami. This course is for anyone looking to build a strong foundation in their origami skills.

You will learn how to fold over 25 different origami models. In addition, you will also learn how to fold 8 origami bases. Bases are the building blocks of origami. They are fundamental to origami because many origami are made from a base, and each base can be made into almost anything. Sometimes, bases can be made into other bases! First, you will learn how to fold a specific base, and then you will directly apply your new knowledge by folding origami using that base.

The course includes over 70 beautiful printable origami paper designs — including woodblock designs from Japanese artist Furuya Korin.

Starting with the basics, the course will cover choosing paper and how to cut out a square from any rectangular paper. After that, you’ll learn about the two basic types of folds in origami. Then, you’ll practice right away by folding your first origami of the course: a flower.

Next, you will learn other types of folds and practice these by folding a stem for the flower. The next few videos will cover helpful tools in origami, how to use them, and tips and tricks to making amazing origami creations.

Then, you will dive right into folding! First, you will learn to fold origami models which require no base. For origami made from bases, you will learn each base and then fold origami which can be made from that particular base.

Some origami you will learn how to fold:

  • Cowboy hat

  • Ninja star

  • Swan

  • Peacock

  • Elephant

  • Piano

  • Crane

  • ... and lots more!

The eight bases you will learn are:

  • Cupboard base

  • Kite base

  • Helmet base

  • Blintz base

  • Square base

  • Waterbomb base

  • Organ base

  • Bird base

After completing the course, you will have the skills and knowledge in order to fold even more complex origami.

This complete introduction to origami is packed with tutorials, resources, and tips which allow you to work at your own pace and master origami fundamentals.

Origami also activates the brain, so it is recommended not only for children but also for adults.

We are passionate about origami and are ready to prepare many courses. We look forward to your participation in our origami course.

I hope you enjoy this course.
