ISO/IEC 27001 is one of the world's most popular standards and this ISO certification is very sought after, as it demonstrates a company can be trusted with information because it has sufficient controls in place to protect it.

Google, Apple, Adobe, Oracle and many other tech giants, financial institutions, health services providers, insurance companies, education institutions, manufacturing and service companies, large and small business around the world have decided to implement this standard and to get this certification as a proof of their capability to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the information they process.

My course explains the requirements of ISO/IEC 27001 along with the controls in Annex A of this standard to help you understand how an information security management system can be implemented, what are the requirements of this standard and what are the solutions to ensure conformity.

My course is structured into 2 parts:

- the first one is about the management system requirements of ISO/IEC 27001. Context of the organization, leadership, information security policy and objectives, information security risk assessment and treatment, competence and awareness, documented information, operational planning and control, internal audit, management review, nonconformity and corrective action along with all the other requirements of the standard are discussed.

- the second part of the course is all about the controls from Annex A of ISO/IEC 27001 - there are 114 information security controls and all are addressed in the lessons. The topics cover aspects like: Information security policies, organization of information security, mobile devices and teleworking, security of human resources, asset management, classification of information, media handling, access control, user responsibilities, system and application access control, cryptography, physical and environmental security, equipment security, operations security, protection from malware, backup, logging and monitoring, control of operational software, technical vulnerability management, communications security, network security management, information transfer, system acquisition, development and maintenance, security in development and support, supplier relationships, incident management, information security as part of business continuity management, redundancies and compliance.

After going through all the lessons of this course you will have a solid knowledge of what is required for an information security management system, how can an organization implement such a system and get certified to ISO/IEC 27001.

With the information here you can:

- work as a consultant for the implementation of this system in different companies;

- participate in audits (internal or external) on ISO/IEC 27001;

- work in a company that implemented an information security management system or

- if you are manager or owner of a business you will know what is the international standard for information security and start implementing it in your company.

If none of the options above suits your profile you can use the information in my course for awareness on information security and get to know what are the security requirements that so many organizations around the world have decided to adopt.

From my course you will get condensed information that you can re-visit anytime you need and after going through this course Udemy offers the possibility to download a certificate for successful completion so you can demonstrate your competence in the information security field.

ISO/IEC 27701. Privacy Information Management System

Enhance your privacy knowledge with the latest ISO standard on this topic.

Created by Cristian Lupa - Auditor, Consultant & Trainer

"]

Students: 1030, Price: $44.99

Students: 1030, Price:  Paid

This course details the requirements of ISO/IEC 27701:2019, the latest standard published by ISO (The International Organization for Standardization) to define controls for an organization that processes a Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

ISO/IEC 27701 is an extension for privacy of ISO/IEC 27001 (the Information Security Management System standard) and can be used by any organization regardless of its location and size, regardless if it acts as PII (Personally Identifiable Information) controller, PII processor or both.

Protecting privacy is a significant business concern. According to IBM the average cost of a data breach is USD 3.6 million, and legal obligations are increasingly stringent. As we get more connected, governments all over the world are introducing various privacy regulations, such as the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). ISO/IEC 27701 helps businesses meet such requirements, whatever jurisdiction they work in

Major companies and organizations have participated in the development of this standard. For example Microsoft was an active member of the committee that developed ISO/IEC 27701.

The course includes 5 sections:

- the first one is the Introductory section where we discuss about general aspects, definitions, privacy principles, privacy actors, international standards for privacy or the relationship of ISO/IEC 27701:2019 with the GDPR;

- the second section is about the general management system requirements including Context of the organization, Leadership, Planning, Support, Operation, Performance evaluation and Improvement.

- the third section discusses the information security controls (114) from ISO/IEC 27001 with privacy additions, where they are present. The following sets of controls are included: Information security and privacy policies, Organization of information security and privacy, Human resources security, Asset management, Access control, Cryptography, Physical and environmental security, Operations security, Communications security, Systems acquisition, development and maintenance, Supplier relationships, Incident management, Information security and privacy aspects of business continuity and Compliance;

- the fourth section includes requirements and guidelines for organizations that act as PII controllers and

- section five is about requirements and guidelines for organizations that act as PII processors.

From this course you will get all the knowledge you need to understand what a Privacy Information Management System is.

You can use this information to:

- work as a privacy consultant;

- participate in management system audits;

- enhance an organization's information security management system to meet the additional requirements of ISO/IEC 27701;

- implement a Privacy Information Management System in a company;

... or you can just have a better understanding of what is ISO approach on processing personally identifiable information.

You will get from this course concise information that you can re-visit at any time since Udemy offers life-time access and as you complete the training you will obtain a certificate for completion, that can be useful to demonstrate your competence.

Mastering Organization Vol 2: Information Reference System

Organize all your information inboxes into a paper and digital information management system. Never lose a file again.

Created by Timothy Kenny - Author of "Accelerated Learning for Entrepreneurs"

"]

Students: 339, Price: $89.99

Students: 339, Price:  Paid

This course is part of a 2 volume series on organizing your information. You should take the Volume 1 course on Information Inboxes First.

I have gotten more requests for this course than anything else.

And after over 5 years of development, I am finally releasing it here.

This course is the ultimate answer to "where do I put this piece of paper/digital file?"

There is a special technical word for this type of organization...it's called an ontology.

An ontology is a system of organizing ideas into a hierarchy.

An example of an ontology is the way a supermarket organizes all it's food and other products. Or how Amazon organizes it's millions of products into various categories. Or the Dewey Decimal system that organizes the hundreds of millions of published books by category.

The problem many people have is that they don't have this kind of exhaustive system for organizing their own personal information.

That's why it's been requested by so many people over the years.

This course contains a hierarchy that has been custom developed and tested for your use to handle all the major areas of your life, as well as all those things that you would consider "Miscellaneous" or "uncategorizable."

Those four areas are:

1. Your career/business

2. Your personal life

3. Your relationships

4. Your health

*Note, personal life is stuff related to managing your home or apartment, your finances, technology, property (both intellectual and physical), vehicles, education, and other things like that.

There are hundreds of folder ans subfolders to handle anything you throw at this system.

I should also mention a bit more about the research that went into this.

I have researched over 100 different organizing systems that other people have created to create this one. I've taken the best of the best from each area of your life and created an organizing system to handle that.

With other people's system, you will get certain areas that are very well organized because the creator of the system spends a lot of time in that area of their life, and then other areas will be very sparse. You won't find that here. This system is very well balanced.

Also, this system will give you a TON of mental clarity on your life in general, as a side effect.

The way you organize your information is just a reflection of how you organize your mind. And mental clarity comes from having a well organized mind.

When you have a well organized mind, you can handle a lot more coming at you, take one new projects, have 100 different things going on and handle it effortlessly when someone else would be pulling their hair out trying to handle a tenth of that.

It also gives you peace of mind. You no longer have to worry about the "unknown unknown" which is one of the biggest problems with creating a system on your own.

You are never sure if you are forgetting something or missing something that will come back to haunt you later and make you have to re-do your whole system later on and re-organize everything.

For those of you who have finished Vol. 1, Information Inboxes:

The way this system works is you capture everything, digital and paper, into inboxes. Files on your computer, paper, mail, email, and captured web research and notes in OneNote or Evernote. You then have a weekly or monthly practice where you sort each inbox into it's final location in your information reference system, which is included in this course.

The reason why this system is so groundbreaking is because it doesn't force you to immediately organize everything you touch (or else have your system fall into disarray). Instead, you can batch process all your information which makes it more efficient and less of a hassle and drain on your day during regular working or home hours.

The other unique thing about this system is it works in parallel on your computer and your file cabinet system.

Whether a file is printed or digital only, it's just as easy to find and it's going to be in the exact same "place."

Oh, and one other thing.

There is another set of courses coming that involve applying this same methodology to organizing your OBJECTS.

And that system is ALSO running in parallel with this one. So you actually are getting a system that will work to organize all your physical objects.

To get a little theoretical.

There are only two kinds of things you can organize. Two kinds of "property."

Intellectual property is information. (Everything you create is automatically copyrighted, even if you never file. Some IP is licensed to you, like this course, but you don't "own" it in the same way you own the notes you take on this course, which are your own expression.)

Physical property. The objects all around you, including your apartment/home, which is just a big object. And the earth is a really big object.

Anything you want to organize falls into one of those two categories. The middle ground is things like books, CDs, hard drives, Kindles, pieces of paper you print out. They are technically physical objects but they serve primarily if not exclusively to represent symbols that you can interpret as a person. Yes, you can use a bad book as a door stop or paper weight, but that's not it's primary use.

Originally, this course was just going to cover digital information, but it's been expanded to cover all types of physical objects that only serve as vehicles for symbols, like books, your mail, and papers you print out (and moleskine notebooks, sticky notes, and anything else you can think of.)

This course WILL change your life. It will give you a sense of mastery over your information that you can't get any other way, and a sense of clarity because not only will your external and digital places be so much better organized, but your own mind and ideas will all fall into their natural and proper place.

If I had to go back to before I knew anything about accelerated learning, before I knew anything about how to be organized or how to be productive, this is the one thing I would bring with me. It's that valuable.

Enjoy the course and I'll see you inside,

Timothy
