Dogs and cats represent the vast majority of the pets in the United States. While they can behave very differently at times, there’s actually a lot of similarities when it comes to training these animals to behave appropriately within a human family.
There are just a handful of issues that make up nearly all of the problems that people have with their pet dogs and cats. This means that these problems are very predictable, and fortunately, they’re also very preventable. And that’s probably the biggest similarity of all. When it comes to behavior problems, whether the pet is a cat or a dog, the easiest, most effective and most efficient approach is prevention. The key is to do as much training as possible, as early as possible.
We know what the problems are going to be, we know how to prevent them, and if we prevent the problems, they never form into bad habits. Once a problem has become a habit, it's significantly harder to fix. The treatment is going to use nearly identical methods, it’s just going to take much longer than prevention would have.
So, what are the problems? Mostly they are behaviors which are natural and necessary for these animals to do, and it’s up to us to teach them when, how, and where we would like them to perform these behaviors.
Toilet training is the most common issue, especially litterbox training for cats. Destructive chewing and scratching is also common, as are issues of aggression, reactivity, or unwillingness to be handled or restrained.
Learn how to prevent all of these problems, and more, using easy and effective methods that are pleasant for you and your pet.

Hi, I'm Lory from Lory’s Cats blog and Lory’s Cats YouTube channel. I am a certified veterinary technician and I volunteered as a cat rescuer for more than a decade. In 14 years I handled more than 1000 cats. For all these rescued cats I found homes with loving families and I solved various behavior problems.
In my rescue activity I always have to deal with a few cats at once and I always have to find solutions for cat behavior and temperament problems. Like humans, cats have emotions that may affect their behavior.
The good news is that cat behavioral problems can be managed with a little help. In these 14 years of experience with cats and kittens I have learned how to handle cat behavior problems and I have some secrets that I have discovered and I want to share them with you.

Cats showing undesirable behaviours such as scratching, house soiling or aggression can cause a lot of grief and resentment in owners, and this course is made to reach as many cat owners as possible to help them understand their cat and change this behaviour as quickly and efficiently as possible, in an easy, responsible, positive and manageable way.
As a cat behavior counsellor, I have helped cat owners for over 10 years who experienced behavior issues in their cat(s). Gaining more insight in their cat's behavior, is the first stap in solving those issues.
After 10 years on the road and visiting hundreds of owners, I developed a general therapy plan to help resolve undesirable behavior in your cat or make your cat even happier than he or she already is. This program is called the Cat Matrix and it is an easy step-by-step plan, which is tested, scientifically based and will make your cat happier than ever! It contains 50 small steps that you can take to optimise your cat's environment and make it reliable, recognisable, safe and predictable.
This advice is tested, based on what we know from science, combined with a decade of experimenting with options and solutions and subtracting only the most efficient and best ways that truly impact the cat's welfare and that of its owners.
This course offers you 5 ways:
1. A model called the Cat Wheel, to truly understand your cat's behaviour and where it comes from;
2. The Cat Matrix model as mentioned above
3. The Happy Cats Revolution ebook (388p.), an amazing ebook, which is a complete transcript of the course
4. 5 bonus chapters in the ebook explaining the most common cat behaviour issues, their causes and solutions. It covers: house soiling, spraying, aggression towards the owner, aggression between cats and scratching
5. A Facebook support group where you can rewatch the videos and ask questions and get support.
Common Behavior Topics in Senior Dogs and Cats
How old age affects the behavior of dogs and cats due to different reason

Are you a dog or a cat owner? Are you a veterinarian, a technician or an animal trainer? Would you like to learn more about the common causes of behavior problems in senior pets? If the answers are YES, then this is the course for you.
I will detail the different causes for behavior changes in senior pets, how to diagnose them, and how to treat them.
Behavior changes can arise out of medical issues (e.g. organ dysfunction), "Alzheimer's" like syndrome called cognitive dysfunction syndrome, and many other reasons. Although not many pet owners are aware (and probably not many veterinary professionals), these issues are very common. Beyond a certain age the frequency of these issues rise dramatically.
Early intervention is important to slow down or resolve some of these problems so this is a must have knowledge.
What are the treatment options that are available? Behavior modification, environmental management, medications, and food supplements and diets. I will explain more about each of these topics.
This is a short course that was originally designed for veterinary students and was presented many times at the university where I'm currently doing my residency. But this course is actually an improved version of the original, with more information and better slides.
I hope you will enjoy this course as much as I did making it.
